40 years so 40 acts of kindness

As part of our ongoing '40 years' celebrations - we are challenging ourselves to complete 40 acts of kindness - one for each year that we have been in business! We try to do something big for charity every year - last year being our walk up Snowdon for the Samaritans, however this year, we fancied something a bit more challenging. Being aware that not all members of staff would be able to participate in a big, physical challenge, we put our heads together to come up with something that everyone could be involved with in one way or another, and that is how '40 Acts of Kindness' came about!

We plan to complete a mix of large scale charity fund raisers that involve a lot of staff members from all depots, as well as some smaller, more personal good deeds that may only involve one or two people. But a good deed, no matter how small, has the capability of altering another person's life immeasurably! #KindnessCostsNothing

We plan to record each deed as we complete it and to keep you up to date with our progress and also future acts of kindness so that we can get as many people involved as possible.

So watch this space, we have a lot of love to give!!!

So what have we done already:

1    Donated a Merlo telehandler to Holmes Chapel Timber Yard after an arson attack.

2    Donated £100 to help Montgomery cricket club and Ysgol Cedewain keep open and active.

3    Gave Newtown College Farm a Massey Ferguson tractor for their Open Farm Sunday event.

4    Sponsored the Shropshire U12 Cricket tour to South Africa to train but also conduct charitable            work.
