Llewellyn Powell is very impressed with the family’s new Massey Ferguson 7S.180.
Grove Farm is a family run business farming sheep, beef and poultry. The Powell family are loyal customers to RVW Pugh having owned six Massey Ferguson tractors since buying their first from salesman David Smith in 2013 replacing a competitive make. Their latest purchase is a new Massey Ferguson 7S.180 tractor.
They are pleased with their new MF 7S.180 as Llewellyn says, “It goes well, and has plenty of torque for any job.” He added, “The multiped joystick makes it easy to use as you can access everything easily at your fingertips.”
The MF 7S.180’s Super Eco feature has helped to cut costs with the tractor. Llewellyn also mentioned that he is “very pleased with the fuel economy, and I’ve never had any major issues with any of the Massey Ferguson tractors the farm has owned.” On the Dyna 6 transmission, Llewellyn added, “It is the best gearbox on the market.”
Llewellyn is especially impressed with the Guide guidance system. The GPS makes spraying, spreading fertiliser and chicken muck much easier. He explains that it saves time and also costs, as “I can spread all day without having to look for my last wheel mark or a stake in the fence in the distance!”
The GPS and Datatronic has highlighted it’s benefits again as spreading the fertiliser is so accurate. He added, “The information it gives me will help even more now that there are tighter restrictions on spreading muck and slurry in Wales.”
When buying the tractor, the Powell family found that the service RVW Pugh gave was really helpful and that everything that they wanted was done well. Llewellyn was also impressed as they helped to move other attachments from the old tractor to the new one.
