We visited Bill Duthie’s farm near Bettws, Mid Wales to find out our his new MF 5711 was working for him.
Bill Duthie and his wife have owned and ran their farm since 2014 owning approximately 200 sheep and 45 beef cattle.
They recently bought a Massey Ferguson 5711M Tractor, which is the first time that they have bought a machine from RVW Pugh. Bill has a 1957 MF 35 which helped him to choose a new Massey Ferguson tractor when he needed a new tractor.
Bill is overjoyed with his new MF 5711M as it does whatever he needs it to do. He prefers the Dyna 4 Transmission, with 16 forward and 16 reverse gears to make the tractor easy to manoeuvre and increases the productivity. As well as the Dyna 4 Transmission, Bill said, “I like the hydraulic system and the extending pick up. The MF 5711 also comes with two hitches, they are both handy and easy to use.”
The MF 5711M comes with 2 auxiliary spool valves, with a 3rd spool option too. The external fender controls make it convenient for lifting and lowering the rear linkage. The lift capacity is an impressive 4300kg, handling heavy mounted equipment easily.
Bill also said that the fuel efficiency was very good in comparison to other tractors he’s had in the past, and helps with business costs. In the future, Bill is looking to replace his Merlo and would definitely use RVW Pugh to help him with this.
