Following on from RVW Pughs latest news that they would be splitting their Massey Ferguson and Fendt business, we caught up with Tom Shakeshaft, Managing Director of the new Fendt business to get the latest lowdown. RVW Pugh Ltd is pleased to announce the new name for the Fendt side of the business is TR Machinery Ltd. TR Machinery will hold the full line Fendt franchise, so Fendt tractors, forage wagons, self propelled sprayers and foragers, tracked machines, the full range of balers, combines and haykit and the latest addition the Cargo loader. The company will also be promoting the Vaderstad franchise which has historically had a very strong following in the Shropshire area alongside RVW Pugh Ltd existing line up of franchises.
Tom said “It has been a whirlwind so far, with so much to do! It has been really exciting learning all about the Fendt product and being involved with the initial branding concept and Company creation. We are still very much in the infancy of the process and hope to be going live with the new business in the Summer, we are busy beavering away building a new website and will keep you posted when we go live, our website will be full of product information and special deals. We have set up a Facebook page and would love it if you could follow us and all the latest developments on there”.
Tom also commented “We are also very excited to share with you our initial plans for our Fendt focused depot which will be based in Newport, Shropshire. Here are some artistic impressions that show how the depot will look. We are currently in negotiations over a site, so watch this space for new soon. All I can say is that we are committed to providing a full service depot so that we can provide a full parts and service offering in Shropshire for our Fendt customers. In the interim you can call our Market Drayton depot where either Tom or Garry would love to talk to you about your farm requirements.
Tom added “RVW Pugh has always provided great support for the Fendt product and customers old and new will be supported by the same great team of familiar faces just a new name for the Fendt business. For existing RVW Pugh Ltd Fendt customers who are used to dealing with our Churchstoke and Holmes Chapel team it’s still very much business as usual. You can continue to call your local depot for any servicing and parts requirements”

Rob Timmis of H (Timmis) Farms Ltd commented on the new Fendt focused business move to Newport “My first dealing with Pughs and Robert Pugh was when I purchased a tracked Challenger and self-propelled sprayer. One of my original concerns with dealing with the Company was what their service back up would be like as their depots were some distance away from me but I have always received excellent back up from the team at Pughs, especially from the engineers who have looked after our products from Holmes Chapel. We have since had 4 more Fendt tractors and traded our original Challenger rogator sprayer in for a new Fendt one. We were so pleased to hear the news about the new Fendt focused business TR Machinery being headed up by Tom Shakeshaft. Tom is a great addition to the team and with the plans for a purpose built depot in Shropshire I am certain that the business will gain even more ground in the area by being able to offer a convenient service on the doorstep.
