Shropshire farmer Rob Timmis was very happy to receive his brand new tractor this week from RVW PUGH’s Robert Pugh. RVW PUGH, agricultural machinery dealer based in Mid-wales covers Shropshire and Cheshire area with the Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Challenger franchises.
Mr Timmis has been a customer of RVW PUGH for many years buying Challenger tracked machines, Challenger Rogator Self-propelled sprayers and most recently the highly impressive Fendt 1050 tractor.
The Fendt 1050 has been a highly anticipated machine in the industry for some time. A 500hp, four wheeled machine that boasts the luxury, mechanics, quality and comfort that makes a Fendt one of the most desirable brands on the market. With impressive power to weight ratio and a totally new design from the ground up, this machine was sure to send ripples within the industry and most certainly would make a few heads turn. After many tests by industry experts it was concluded that this machine is definitely one to watch with impressive all-round features, it’s certainly more versatile than a crawler machine and can really put power to the ground and yes it looks pretty impressive to any passer-by.
Following a successful demonstration of the Fendt 1050 with Mr Timmis in September 2016 they decided to purchase the machine, at that time it was the fourth machine to be sold in the country.
After a recent interview with David Pugh, Arable Manager for Mr Timmis, it was clear they were excited to receive the new machine and put it to use over the 3,500 acres of arable land that they work. 'That’ll be sure to get the neighbours talking', we could not agree more David!
The machine was delivered to the Holmes Chapel Depot of RVW PUGH and checked over ready to be sent out on a 48 mile trip to the farm. Despite being a dreary day in Shropshire the 1050 brightened up a few faces on the roads and staff of H Timmis Farms Ltd once it arrived.
