Pugh's climb Snowdon for Samaritans

It was decided a while ago that we as RVW PUGH wanted to raise money for something close to the hearts of our staff.

We felt that the most fitting charity was the Samaritans as they have helped staff members in very tough times over recent years.

Next thought was what do we do to raise this money? Something that gave a good challenge for all ages and abilities. Something that would be great to do as a team.

We settled on Snowdon as we felt this would not only be a good challenge to raise some money but also something that we could achieve together as a team.

The date was set for 12th of August with the hope that we would get some good weather. Unfortunately it was quite the opposite.

A group of 7 Pugh's staff climbed Snowdon this last weekend in the pouring rain and blustering wind.
We went up the Pyg track and got to the top in 3.5 hours with some stopping.
Despite the weather and most of us being wet through to our underwear we still smiled for our victory picture at the top.

We have now raised just under £300 for the Samaritans with the hope that we can get a little bit more.

This was a great team effort and one thing is for sure, we underestimated Snowdon! It is definitely not an easy challenge.
