HARPER STUDENTS HEAD OUT WITH PUGH'S DEMO FLEET

We are welcoming our new placement students this week that are going to be with us for the next 12 months from Harper Adams University.
RVW PUGH looked to Harper Adams when it came to recruiting for some enthusiastic and ready to learn Demonstrator drivers for our Cheshire and Powys depots. After attending recruitment events at the end of 2016 and also delivering a presentation to a group of students about the company and what we were looking for we got some good quality applicants.

Our two new arrivals are raring to go and looking forward to a busy demonstration season with plenty of machinery to get out and about to customers. Gruff will be based at our Holmes Chapel depot working alongside the team there. Originally from Lampeter, Gruff knows his stuff when it comes to machinery and the way a dealership runs. He has had experience with both Gwilli Jones and Teme Valley dealers working in different departments to really get a good understanding of the way things work and react well to pressure at busy times of the year. Gruff is keen to get out in the field and really see these machines work.  A keen Young Farmers member and rugby player we have no doubt Gruff will fit in well within the team.

Ben, from Tyberton, will be based at our Churchstoke depot assisting the team there, despite being at two different locations Ben and Gruff will work together with a fleet of demonstration equipment to really get the Massey Ferguson and Fendt equipment out to the public. Ben is no stranger to farm machinery either and also holds a wealth of experience; with a couple of harvest seasons under his belt Ben is a keen operator. He is looking forward to delving into the guidance systems involved with these newer machines and wants to put his practical knowledge of machine operation into play with the demonstration season ahead. Ben is also an active Young Farmer and gets involved wherever possible. He enjoys photography too especially machinery, we are sure that’s going to come in handy over the next year!

We wish both students the best of luck with their year with us and look forward to a busy 12 months ahead!
